Arch news

We are really excited to announce our latest project at 7 Princes Street, located in London, EC2. Princes Court is a commercial development originally built in 1972, renovated in 1994, and which now sees the existing building being completely reimagined for commercial purposes.

Vision Arch have been appointed as the facade contractor for 7 Princes Street, showcasing the varied scope of works that we can deliver – which include multi-material facades, incorporating Terracotta Stone, Architectural Metalwork and Glass, Doors and Windows, and Balustrade (glass and metal).

The details

KanAm Grund Group appointed Morgan Capital to lead the refurbishment of this important site in the heart of the City of London. The architect Aukett Swanke, who designed the original building in 1972, have been involved with its refurbishment and its transformation over the years.

The new scheme involves the creation of high-quality spaces and the addition of 2 new storeys, as well as the replacement of the entire facade for a fresh look. The key focus is on sustainability, targeting the BREEAM ‘outstanding’ rating for sustainability credentials.

Some of the key features are rooftop terraces with views of landmarks, flexible-use spaces with street exposure, and a total area of ca. 54,000 square feet.

Our scope

We are really pleased to be extensively involved in the reimagining of Princes Court. Just some of the products and services we are providing include Schüco FWS 60 Curtain Walling, Schüco AWS 75 Doors and Windows, Terracotta and Stone Cladding, Glass and Metal Balustrade, Revolving Door, Louvres and more!

Key challenges

Some of the challenges we face in this project include bespoke testing, adjusting installation & design strategies for the facades and a logistically challenging Zone 1 Location. With Vision Arch’s commitment to quality and excellence, along with an emphasis on modern processes and technology, we expect to overcome these challenges and play a key role in reimagining this building for a sustainable future.

Next steps

Although the project was only recently awarded to Vision Arch, and is currently in the design phase, we have very clear goals:

  • Façade design, supply and installation; we will complete this project to the highest engineering standards and quality.

  • We will be fully utilising our vast expertise, using modern methods of construction, processes and technology each step of the way to ensure an excellent finish, to exceed our clients’ expectations.

  • This building will be distinguished for its contemporary architecture, distinctive textures, sustainability and energy efficiency.
